Alice Conlon

Springfield, MA: Alice (McDonald) Conlon, 92, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014. She was born in Belfast Northern Ireland to the late Thomas H. and Catherine J. (Rogan) McDonald. Alice graduated from John Marshall High School and worked for General Motors as a sparkplug winder and Union Stewad for over 30 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 39 years, James J. Conlon, who passed away in 1981 and her sister, Mary Muldoon. She leaves a daughter, Patricia A. Hammerle and her husband, John R. of Springfield; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Patrick and Seamus McDonald.

Friends may attend her Funeral Mass 10AM Monday at St. John the Evangelist Church (Greece). Interment Holy Sepulchre.

Dagmar Bernice Christine Vincent

Rochester: On April 11, 2014, Dagmar Bernice Christine Vincent, born November 15, 1928, Sargeant, MN; the daughter of Gullick and Emma Hellen. Predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Cecil Vincent and brother, Gerhard Hellen. Survived by 3 children, Sheridan Vincent of Rochester, NY, Cynthia (David) Merhar of Plymouth, MN and Erick (Susan) Vincent of Bainbridge Island, WA; 2 grandsons, Andrew Merhar and William Merhar of Plymouth, MN; and 1 great-grandson, Leland Merhar. She attended school in Austin, MN. Following a successful career as a homemaker, she worked in retail sales in West St., Paul, MN.

Interment at Grandview Cemetery, Rochester, Minnesota, will be at the convenience of the family.

Katherine "Tootie" Groh

Greece: April 10, 2014. Predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Groh; son, Robert M. Groh; and sister, Ann Davis. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Michael Ratigan; daughter-in-law, Sue Groh; sisters, Stella Kayson and Eleanore Clohessy; grandchildren, Kayti (Jack) Whittaker, Kara (David) Rowell and Maggie Ratigan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. An active member of her church, she was a regular at the YMCA and on a women's golf league, yet still found time to donate countless hours to the Ronald McDonald charity. Family brought her the greatest joy. All who knew her will miss her kindness, smile, quick wit and generosity. Her favorite saying was "What's new?!"

Jaclyn Elizabeth Overmyer

Rochester: April 8, 2014. Jackie was the 3rd child of 8 born in her home City of Rochester, NY on May 11, 1929. She was a high school graduate of Jefferson High School where she was very active in school activities and graduated with honors in 1946. She then met and married Ronald Paul Overmyer at the age of 18 on Valentines Day in 1947. They started life together in Rochester and early on in their marriage they moved to Brockport and successfully raised seven children.

Jackie had numerous accomplishments in life. One of many was to assist her youngest daughter who was born with cerebral palsy. Jackie's vision, energy and involvement led to the development of the Al Sigl Center to obtain assistance for her daughter and others who need those valuable services that continue today. Throughout her life she has continued to volunteer in children and senior services until her health started failing a few years ago.

Jackie processed the greatest of human spirit and love for all that she met. Continually throughout the years her home and heart were always open at any time for any one who needed a hand or an understanding ear. Jackie leaves us loved by so many people of different ages and walks of life. There wasn't a day she didn't have a positive impact on people she met. Her life remains a personal testament to the love, integrity, strength and kindness that one finds in so few. Jackie and her indelible spirit will be greatly missed.

She lost her husband of 43 years in 1990 and unfortunately witnessed the passing of her oldest son Thomas John Overmyer in 2009. Jackie is survived by her remaining children, Karen Ann Overmyer, Ronald Todd Overmyer, James Paul Overmyer, Stephen "Ove" Overmyer, Jerry Robert Overmyer and Jackie Sue Overmyer. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters and many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his siblings, Kathleen (Kenneth) Bartholomew, Timothy Curtin, and Maureen "Missa" Matte; his goddaughters, Erin (Donald) Telesca and Sarah Matte; and his other nieces and nephews, Katie (Earle) Killius, Kristy (Steve) Schulenberg, Kevin Curtin, Alison Curtin and Brian Matte; Mary Beth Curtin; 8 great-nieces and nephews. Michael worked for the Rochester City School District for 41 years, was a lifelong NY Giants and Notre Dame football fan, and loved NY City, where he traveled often.

Shirlene M. (Eva McKinney) Palmer

Greece: Shirlene Eva McKinney Palmer, born July 7, 1923, in Lubec, Maine, passed from this life into Heaven at 4 PM on March 28, 2014. Shirlene was a talented musician, loved to garden & had a keen mind and dry wit. Known for her reverence for God, passion for music and love of children & animals, she will be missed most by those who knew her best. She was devoted to and is survived by her husband of 67 years, Osmond "Freddie" Palmer; and is also dearly loved by all her family, including her sons, Mark (Janet), Scott (Deborah), Brian; daughter, Kim (Edward) Liebrand; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was a founding member of Journey Christian Church (formerly West Side Baptist Church), where she taught children's Sunday school, led Pioneer Girls, sang in the choir, played violin and organ, and faithfully tended the gardens for many years.

She lived mostly in Rochester, with her husband Charles for 57 years, who passed away 11 years ago. She leaves 2 children, Sam Sallome & Gail Letkauskas; along with 2 grandchildren, Andy & Leigha; sister, Angeline; and many nieces & nephews. Her last four years she lived with her son in Richmond, VA, where she made many friendships and will be missed by all who knew her.
