Obituary of Terrence Rowan

Rowan, Terrence P.

Rochester: Today there is an empty space at Frontier Field, the place where Terry Rowan spent his summers. He loved baseball; could travel to a Cubs game in the afternoon, a White Sox game at night, back to the Cubs the next day, then drive to Milwaukee. Terry got a kick out of people, especially the most colorful ones. He retired from Rochester Products in 2007 after 30 years of service.

Early Saturday morning Terry died the way he lived -- quietly and without fuss.

Born to Bob and Mary Jean Rowan in 1955, he spent his life taking care of his ugly twin brother, Marty, and the rest of his family:

Colleen Dunham, Paula (Randy) Page, Marty (Kathy) Rowan, Maureen (Paul) Cassarino, Christine (Clay) Waikiki, Mary (Dan) Dolloff, Christopher (Anna) Page, Sarah Rowan, Tim (Tina) Page, Courtney (Kyle) Gramza, Tim (Susan) Cassarino, Lynn (Nick Surace) Cassarino, Jessica (Matt Van Wagnen) Rowan, Kainoa Waikiki, Alana Waikiki, Luke Dolloff, Ian Dolloff, William Page, Jack Page, Bennett Page, KJ Gramza, Camden Gramza, Alison Cassarino, and Colin Cassarino.

Terry's going-home party will be Thursday, May 4th at noon at Barnard Exempts, 360 Maiden Lane, preceded by a brief graveside service. Friends may meet at 11:00 AM at the main gate to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue.

Memorials may be made to the Rochester Community Baseball Big Hitters Club, 1 Morrie Silver Way, Rochester, NY 14608.
