On February 6, 2022, our beloved warrior Rick moved on after a valiant battle with NET cancer -preceded by his
Grandmother Mary Harris. Rick is survived by his wife Brenda, Mother Linda, siblings Kurt, Jessie (John), Lindsey, Jenny, Katie and Jake. Brother in-laws Dave (Kelly) and Chris. His Grandmother Marie as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who he loved dearly.
To call Rick a warrior would be a severe understatement! Despite everything he was going through - every challenge that came his way, he never stopped fighting, and he never once let it change the person he was. He pushed through every trial and every challenge with a grateful heart, always treating everyone with kindness and gratitude. Anyone who was lucky enough to know Rick knew him for his kind genuine soul, and warm gentle smile. He would help anyone in need no questions asked, without ever wanting or expecting anything in return. His silly wacky sense of humor would fill a room with laughter bringing everyone to tears.
He loved and treasured the precious things in life - his family and friends, his home, and the life he built with his wife and best friend Brenda, and their two pups - Thea and Lilly! He had a true passion, and natural talent for music and art, which brought so much joy to not just him, but everyone around him. Rick pretty much mastered any instrument he picked up - a few of his favorites being the guitar, harmonica, and well, just about anything else he could get his hands on! There are notebooks upon notebooks of song lyrics and poems written by Rick. He was an amazing artist - from brushes and paints, to pencils and sketchbooks. His craftsmanship with wood was like no other. Rick had a great eye for detail, and his mind was full of inspiration. He could envision the project before it even hit the paper. His talent truly was endless. Rick also had a great love for the outdoors and being on the water. If he wasn’t in his music studio you could find him in his kayak with a fishing pole in hand, fishing the day away. Rick was one of a kind and such an important piece to our puzzle. It goes without saying that he was loved and will be missed beyond measure.
