Ajit Kumar Das

Passed away January 31st, 2024 at the age of 87, surrounded by his wife and 3 sons. He is predeceased by his parents Hrishikesh & Amiya Dass, brother Sunil K. Dass, granddaughter Katarina Renee Das, brother-in-Laws Amal Das Biswas and Otto Bartel.

Sanjit Mark (Allison); Grandchildren; Tara Elizabeth & Christina Marie Das, Danielle Lynn & Michael Patrick Hueston; Sisters Sipra Das Biswas, Dr. Ellora (Dr. Amiya) Pal, Ajanta (Surpriya) Das; Sister-in-Laws Dipti Dass & Edda Bartel, several nieces and nephews.

Ajit was born in Kolkata, India, and came to Rochester to study printing management at RIT. He graduated from RIT in 1964. His life was filled with learning, developing opportunities and following his dreams. He was a lifelong dedicated volunteer helping with seniors, and resettling refugee families in the 90's. In his later years, it was his family and friends that became his passion

Ajit was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. His love, smile and laughter will be missed by all of us. He was always there to lend-a-hand, show kindness or be a mentor. He leaves a void in our hearts and homes, and he will be truly missed and remembered by the many lives he touched.

His family and friends will treasure the good times, the great laughs and the endless love he showed to all of us. We will miss him immensely, but we will never forget the positive impact he has had on all of us.
