Alan Wagner, 78, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2022 in Sorrento, Florida. He was born April 27,1944 in Rochester, NY.
He was predeceased by Eugene Wagner (father), Arline Richardson (mother), Eugene (Georgia) Wagner (brother), Mark Wagner and Brian Hinkley (sons) and Brittanee Drexel (granddaughter).
Alan is survived by his wife of 52 years Carol, his daughter Dawn (David Conley), grandchildren Myrissa and Camden Drexel and great granddaughter Myla Brittanee Mayoliz, and sisters Rosemary Bigelow (Barry Galetto), Joanne Wagner and Cheryl (Tom) Tomasso, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Alan lived in Rochester most of his life, he worked at Millbrook bakery and retired early after a work related injury. He spent time helping with his grandchildren and then retired to Florida to enjoy the rest of his retired life with his wife and daughter Dawn. In Florida he spent his time playing shuffleboard, cards, bingo and visiting the casinos. He was a very lucky man. He loved to travel, his family and to joke around often with everyone. He was loved by everyone he met and he was such a comedian. He will be dearly missed by all and his legacy will live on forever to the people that knew him and loved him.
Alan will be traveling back to Rochester NY with his wife and daughter to be surrounded by the many family and friends to mourn this great loss.
Calling hours will be at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Rd, on Friday September 30, 2022 from 5 pm until 7 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 9:30 am, at St Theodore's Catholic Church, 168 Spencerport Rd, Rochester, NY.
