Allen J. Speer

Passed away on December 18, 2020 at the age of 91 years old. Predeceased by his son Allen L. Speer. Survived by his wife of almost 70 years Catherine (Kate) Speer. Al was a long time Rochester resident who served four years in the U.S. Marine Corp before starting a successful career at Eastman Kodak Company. He entered Kodak as an apprentice and ended up as a foreman and manager.
Retirement enabled Al to spend time with Kate and son Al, work on his golf game and especially his culinary skills. He loved to cook and entertain. Al and Kate enjoyed twenty plus years down in Florida and came back north a few years ago.
Due to the health concerns surrounding the current Covid 19 pandemic there will not be a funeral service. A private interment will be arranged.
A celebration of Al’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in Al’s name.
