Predeceased by his parents, Floyd and Evelyn Welch, father-in-law, Jack Crittenden and brother-in-law, Craig Zimmer
Barry is survived by his wife of 54 years, Suzanne C. Welch, daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa (Jim DeMallie) Welch, Karen (Bill Parker) Welch and Al Briggs, his sister Dawn Zimmer, brother-in-law, David (Natalie) Crittenden, mother-in-law, Midge Crittenden, niece and nephews Rory Zimmer, Timothy Zimmer, Kathleen (Vito) Viele (in addition to their children – Saverio, Santino and Savanna) and Evan Crittenden as well as his aunt June Gleichauf, cousins Doug Gillette, Joyce (Bob) Clements, Kim Reitano, many other cousins and friends as well as his extended family in England.
Barry was a lifetime resident of the 10th ward. He was a veteran of the US Army and a retiree of Xerox Corp, after a long career. Barry was a loving husband and wonderful father. In addition to his family and friends, he loved animals therefore in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his name to Lollypop Farm (99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450) to help homeless and neglected pets.
