Betty Dutton

Greece: Blessed with 99 years, 6 months, and 9 days of life, she was born September 28, 1924 to Gladys and John Leonard in Medina, NY. Predeceased by her sister Margaret. Her grandparents were George & Alice (Coleman) Bacon, James & Minnie Romp, all of whom came to America from England in the 1870's. Betty married Earl Coon, also of Medina in 1943. Their daughter, Nicki, was born in September of 1944. Unfortunately, Betty and Earl's marriage ended in 1945. After WWII ended, Betty married Howard Dutton in July, 1946. He passed away in 1982.Betty was with her partner, Walter Mack of Albion for 24 years until his passing in 2010.

Betty is predeceased by her son-in-law, John Piedmont, niece, Sharon Dutton Schapp and bonus son Wally Mack. Survived by her daughter Nicki Piedmont; grandchildren Bonnie (Brian) Venton, Jill Derleth, Jennifer (David) John; great-grandchildren Matthew Turner, David & Sara Venton, Jack & Tommy Derleth, Emily & Nathan John; great-great-granddaughter Phoebe Turner; first cousin Maureen (David) Albright; Dutton nieces and nephews, Lynn, Paula, Gary, Laura, Reggie and Linda. Also survived by the Mack family, her bonus children: Marilyn (Danny) Waingarten, Elaine (Wayne) Cook, Patricia Halt, Connie (Tom) Taylor, Susan Mack (Danny Meyer), Stephen (Vera) Mack as well as their children and grandchildren. Very dear friends Kit Changnon and Sherry Wood.

Friends may attend her service Monday May 13 at 2PM at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremations Services, 777 Long Pond Road. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in her memory.
