Passed away peacefully on October 15, 2020, in her home at the age of 76. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ronald “Ronnie/Dusty” G. Dustman, two sons, Ronald (Valerie) Dustman, Jr., of Rochester and Edward (Renee) Dustman of Livonia, grandchildren Brandais “Franky”, RJ, Joshua, Allan, and Elizabeth, life-long friend Charlie Giehl and family, and her “daughter” Gale Phillips. She is predeceased by her mother Anna Elizabeth “Betty” Whitmarsh, father Michael John Rosso, Aunt Dorothy Monroe, many other aunts and uncles, and life-long friend Bonnie Giehl.
Bonnie was Ronnie’s life. Their first date was in 1960 – she asked him to take her to midnight mass for Easter. They were married in 1964 and “it was a whirlwind after that,” Ronnie says. There first son, Ronald, was born one year later. Both sons were the apple’s of her eye.
Family was most important to Bonnie. She always said the blessing before family dinners, thanking God for bringing us together and acknowledging those who were no longer with us. She could never get through the prayer without crying. We will always say a prayer for you Mom.
