Predeceased by Brother Sean Kennedy, Sister Jennifer Jackson and Nephew Quinn Wilson. Christian leaves behind aunts, uncles, many cousins, two beloved dogs and a cat he loved to hate.
Christian majored in music before embarking on what would become a career-long dedication to Criminal Defense work. He received a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice with High Honors from RIT, followed by Cum Laude graduation from Albany Law School and member of the Law Review. His formal legal experience began in 1997 with an internship in the New York State Defenders Association, which led to a Staff Attorney position with the Public Defenders office following his acceptance to the bar in 2000. In 2005 he began his private practice where he was admitted to practice law in New York State, United States District Court, Western District of New York, the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit. In 2019 he joined with fellow defense attorney Lindsey Pieper in a partnered law office. Christian will be remembered as a fierce friend and a fearless advocate for his clients. He was highly admired and respected in the legal community.
In 2016 Christian was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Though he struggled with his illness, he fought the ensuing limitations by continuing to live his passions—including riding his motorcycle and playing the guitar. His enduring passion was the law, but his love of music and the arts enriched his life. We all mourn the sudden loss of our beloved son, brother, uncle, friend and colleague.
