Irondequoit - Passed away October 1, 2020. Predeceased by her husband Joseph L. Villard, and brother Walter Fleck. Survived by her children, Robert and Suzanne (Scott) Gerritz; sister Marion Neitz; several nieces and nephews, and her grandcats.
Dot liked taking care of her house and gardens, and always fed the birds in her backyard. She enjoyed celebrating holidays and birthdays and giving gifts. Her interests in antiques and collecting led her to rescue an 1830's house and open a gift shop, the Strawberry Salt Box. The building is now the Pioneer House on the grounds of the Irondequoit Town Hall. Dot was a vendor at the Craft Antique Co-op for years and made many friends there.
The family thanks the staff at Crest Manor and also Lifetime Care Hospice for the excellent care that she received in the last part of her life.
Services were held privately for the family.
