Edward Knapp

August 9, 1953 — January 19, 2017

Knapp, Edward Morey
Greece: Ed passed peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease. He is predeceased by his parents Robert Knapp and Nancy Hardenbrook. He is survived by his wife Heather (McIntyre) Knapp; daughters Adrianne (Owen) Messner, Chelsea (Carl) Moe; sister Jane (Burgess) Elliott, brother John (Deborah) Knapp; Step Mother Josephine Knapp; sisters and brothers-in-law and 11 nieces and nephews, all whom he loved.

Ed was born in Albion NY, lived in Kendall and moved to Greece where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Heather. He graduated from MCC and went on to work in sales, first selling boats at Lakeside Marine and then to managing and selling commercial real estate.

Ed will be remembered for being a loving husband and father; his daughters were his world. Aside from family his passions were hunting, fishing, boating on Lake Ontario, and NASCAR — especially Jimmie Johnson. He touched many lives through his faith in God that strengthened him everyday, his friendship, humor and generosity. He will be deeply missed.

Special thanks and gratitude to Bill, Vicki, Pat and Steve at Fleming Point for their love and care.

Family and friends may call at the Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home on Monday January 23rd from 3-7pm. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be at Journey Christian Church on Tuesday, January 24th at 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Huntington’s Disease Society of America (hdsa.org) 505 Eighth Avenue, Suite 902, New York, NY 10018
