Born July 3, 1920, Ethel passed peacefully, February 18, 2019 surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph J. and her brothers Francis and Bill. Survived by, her “five boys” Joseph M. (Patricia), Gary R., Alan J. (Sandra Eleczko), Eric J. (Allisa), and John D. (Lori), her sister Eileen (Susie), twelve grandchildren Lisa Kessler (David), Jennifer Kline (Clint), Daniel (Elaine), Kathyrn Noe (Kevin), JP (Erin), David (Rebecca), Hollis, Phillip, Stephen, Christina Cormier (Travis), Amanda and Teresa, thirteen great-grandchildren Alyce, Jacob, Tyler, Isabella, Parker, Kaleb, Karsyn, Kameron, Alex, Bennett, Kendal, Jameson and Phoenix, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Ethel thoroughly enjoyed her many years working in the St. Pius Tenth school library, and in her spare time enjoyed baking, gardening and relaxing at Conesus Lake. Above all, her greatest joys came from time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ethel was dearly loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed by us all.
Ethel’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Memory Care Residences at Cottage Grove for their friendships, support and loving care provided.
Friends may call 3-7 PM Friday at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road. Please meet the family 10:30 Saturday at St. Pius X Church for her Funeral Mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ethel’s name may be made to the Rochester Presbyterian Home in support of the Memory Care Residences at Cottage Grove.
