James (Jim) P. Phelan
Greece - September 26, 2018, at age 88. Predeceased by his parents Charles Phelan and Lucille Eckler, and his brother, George. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Norma Thompson Phelan; children, Katy (Buck) Allen, James (Linda) Phelan, Mary (Timothy) Heckman, and Michael (Kristen) Phelan; grandchildren, Mikaela Allen, Brenna Allen (Michael Kulikowsky), Caroline Lucariello (Adam), Patrick Phelan (Keddy), Kyle Phelan (Elena), Kathryn Zehnder (Jacob), Andrew Heckman (Allison Walker), Jacob Phelan, and Sydney Phelan; four great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by his wife's family, Dorothy (dec.), Helene, Katie, George R. (Rosa), Bill, Michael (Donna), and Norman (Jana).
Jim graduated from Edison Technical High School, served four years in the United States Air Force, and worked at Chamberlain Rubber Company and Eastman Kodak Co. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and camping on the St. Lawrence River.
Calling hours will be held at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Rd., Greece on Sunday, September 30th, from 2 to 6 PM. Friends are invited to meet the family for Jim's funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 3003 Dewey Ave. on Monday, October 1st at 9:30 AM. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Penfield.
