Joel Anthony Coccia



Passed away August 27 2021. Predeceased by his parents John Lewis and Anne Carmen Coccia; brother-in-law Thomas E Walton; nephew Thomas G Walton; son-in-law Steven K Mahar. Joel is survived by his daughter Jennifer C. Coccia; grandsons Steven Mahar Jr and Robert Mahar; sister Lucielle J. Walton; nephew Timothy (Suzanne); nieces Cheryl (Jon), Barbara (Tom), Kelly (Scott).



As a Kent State University graduate Joel was selected to work a ten week program with European Architects which kicked off his career as a well-known Rochester NY architect. Joel served in the United States Army and continued in the army reserves for many years thereafter. He will be truly missed by his family especially by his many great nieces and nephews who he constantly teased and adored. Rest In Peace our dear Joel.



Calling hours will be held 11-1 Saturday, September 25th at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road followed by a service at 1. Interment at the convenience of the family.
