Greece: John H. Beachner, 11/01/1947 - 10/22/2016. John Howard Beachner, of Rochester, died Saturday October 22, 2016 after a battle with cancer. John was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Marion Beachner. He is survived by his loving and beautiful wife of 29 years, Maryann; daughter, Robin (Jon) Moss; sons, Brian (Stephanie) Beachner, James (Savannah) DeSalvo and Joseph (Stacey) DeSalvo; sisters, Karen (Dave) Peters, Laura (Nelson) Baranes, Gale Beachner; brother, Daniel Beachner; sisters-in-law, Joanne LaFave, Kathy Vasquez; brother-in-law, Joseph (Kathy) Maier; 10 beautiful grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and his faithful companions, Bear, Cliffy and Rocky. John grew up on Clay Avenue in the 10th Ward. He attended John Marshall High School and received a Technical degree from RIT. He was a boater, who learned to love the waters of Lake Ontario and the Genesee River at an early age. He told stories of his days rowing his boat on the river and doing odd jobs at the various marinas his entire life, even into retirement. A welder and fabricator by trade, he partnered with his father in their business, hydraulic refuse systems, until later taking a position as a Millwright for General Motors where he worked his way up to Facilities Manager before retiring in 2002. In his later years he enjoyed his winters in Florida. Always with a twinkle in his eye and a joke to tell, he leaves a loving legacy of lives touched. He will forever be in all of our hearts, especially M.A.D.D.

Friends may call Wednesday 4-8 at the funeral home, 777 Long Pond Road (between English & Latta). Funeral Service, 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
