John James Tydings "Pops"
Webster - June 22, 2019. Sadly but peacefully our beloved "Pops" has passed into eternal life with family and friends beside him to bid his farewell. John was a graduate of Aquinas Institute and then went on to serve our country. One of John's many successes was being one of the founders and owner of Jay's Diner. John always had a joke or a quick comeback. He enjoyed playing bridge, golfing and throwing his nieces and nephews into the pool. John's retirement years he volunteered at Meals on Wheels. Though humble he was, he loved to talk about the wonderful people he met along the way. John also served ushering for many years at St. Joseph's Church in Penfield. His generous ways and selfless manner will never be forgotten. John was a famous patron of Shamrock Jack's with a booth and parking spot of his very own. Always willing to share a joke and a dinner along with a muddled Old Fashion.
He was predeceased by one and only true love wife, Joyce; brothers, Edward and Thomas; his twin sister, Mary Ellen (Tuite). Left behind are many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to his nurses that became family and friends with there dedication and support.
