Dr. Joseph W. Martin
GREECE - Born in Rochester, August 17, 1926-Passed away, March 30, 2019. Predeceased by his parents, Dr. Joseph and Emily Martin; his sister, Mary and her husband, Albert Moss and the mother of his children, Joanne Martin. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of almost 50 years, Patricia; his devoted son and daughter-in-law, Joseph (Maureen) Martin and daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Dr. Steven Kazley; grandchildren, Jacquelyn (fiance Cody Rumsey) Martin and Karli (Ryan Brosi) Martin, Douglas Kazley, Bryan (Abby) Kazley, Dr. Jillian Kazley, Michael Kazley and Patrick Kazley; great-grandchildren, Connor, Campbell, Carter. He attended Nazareth Hall Grammer School and was a 1943 Class Graduate of Aquinas Institute. He held a degree in the Electrical Engineering from Notre Dame University and a DDS from the University of Buffalo Dental School, Class of 1951. Joe practiced Dentistry in Rochester until his retirement in 1983. He was a WW II Veteran and served as a Navigator on the U.S.S. Chicago. Joe was known for his humor, his love of people and his ability to build or fix almost anything, or at the very least "Martinize It". He will be missed by many extended family and friends. Friends may call Friday 4-7 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Rd. Funeral Mass 11:00AM Saturday at St. Mark's Church (Kuhn Rd.). Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. John Robb and his staff, Dr. Tejan Patel and Dr. Wajid Choudhry and the Dialysis Unit at Unity for their kind compassion and care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Greece Volunteer Ambulance or Honor Flight of Rochester in his memory
