Julius Olmeda

Canandaigua,NY– Went home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2025, at age 67.

Predeceased by his beloved mother Maria Delores Olmeda.

He is survived by his father Julio Olmeda; daughters Christina Olmeda & Lydia Brown; grandchildren Jacob Aiden Burns, Elliott Adrian Burns, Emiliana Grace Burns; devoted sisters Dilia Vazquez and Camelia Reed; nephew Adam Vazquez; and nieces Talia & Selena Gonzalez; brothers-in-law Jose Vazquez and David Reed.

Julius was a proud Navy veteran who dedicated his life to a career in the military, serving honorably in the National Guard after completing his service in the Navy.

The family would like to thank the Canandaigua VA for the care shown to Julius. He looked forward to his time spent there and cherished each staff member.

Friends may attend his funeral service at 2 PM Thursday April 24th at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery 2461 Lake Avenue Rochester, NY 14612 in the chapel of the Christ our Light Mausoleum. Please gather at the Lake Avenue entrance for the procession to the chapel. In his memory, donations may be made to the Canandaigua VA.
