Lawrence J. Vawter "Larry"

Lawrence J. Vawter of Baltimore, MD formally of Rochester. Larry passed away peacefully at age 68 on May 21, 2024, one week after a massive stroke. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Catherine Vawter and sister Mary Lou Vawter. Survived by his wife Kyong Suk (Linda) English; brother John Michael Vawter, sister Carol (Edward)DiCesare, sister Patti Vawter, nieces Emily(Kyle) Semrau, Natalie(Michael) Tanke and nephew Patrick(Leah) DiCesare; 4 grandnephews; 1 grandniece; many dear cousins and a host of friends in Baltimore and New York.

Thank you to the staff at Howard County General Hospital in Baltimore for all their compassion and excellent care while Larry was in ICU. A special thank you to Larry's friend and neighbor, Melissa, who went above and beyond to help our family in a time of need.

A Mass will be held in Larry's memory at Our Mother of Sorrows Church, 5000 Mt. Read Blvd., on Friday June 28 at 10:30 am. 

For over 15 years Larry was dedicated to volunteering at Project Healing Waters - a program that helps veterans and active military service personnel in need through a fly-fishing curriculum. Larry was a legend to the program and will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to the Project Healing Waters Fort Mead Program
