Greece - Helen was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world peacefully on February 12, 2022 at the age of 101.
She was born in the Ukraine on December 4, 1920. Helen was predeceased by her husband Nikolai "Nicolas", her grandson Kurt and her 2 sisters in Australia.
Helen is survived by her youngest sister Vera Suk, the last of her siblings still living. She leaves behind 4 children: Egon "John" (Heike), Anatole (Mary), Yvette (Gary) Caton, Luci (Bruce) DeBruin. Her 9 grandchildren: Keena (Paul) Gravanda, Nicole Pleten, Laura (John) Bugajski, Alexandra (Andy) Pond, Jon-Claude Caton, Courtney (Chad) Guenther, Derek (Susan) DeBruin, Brett (Olivia) DeBruin, and Garrett DeBruin. Her 15 great grandchildren: Tyler Pleten, Brennan, Isabelle, Sophia, and Avery Gravanda, Holly, Oliver, Hanna, and Emma Lee, Nikolai and Flynn Caton, Taylor DeBruin, Mataya and Hutch DeBruin, Damon Pond and one great-great grandson Parker Pleten.
Calling hours will be held Sunday February 20th from 1-4pm at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road. Funeral Service immediately following at 4pm at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in the spring.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
