Leonard C. Elliott

Born June 6th, 1934. Passed away from cancer May 3, 2020 after a long and happy life. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Eleanor (Ellie). He also leaves behind his son Mark Elliott and daughter Diane Meszko, grandchildren Shawn (Lauren) Meszko and Carolyn Meszko, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was a 2 year veteran of the army where he was in the Honor Guard in Washington DC. He was editor and owner of the Irondequoit Shopper for over 50 years, which was started by his parents Leonard Sr. and Ruth in 1949. He was a proud member of Point Pleasant Fire Department.
Friends may call 12-2 PM Saturday, July 25, at the Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road, concluding with a Funeral Service at 2 PM.
In his memory, contributions may be made to Point Pleasant Fire Department, 55 Ewer Ave. Rochester, NY 14622. CDC COVID-19 protocols will be observed.
