Lorraine K. Shaw

Lorraine Shaw passed on July 27th to be with her husband.

Her mother and father settled in Detroit, Michigan from the Ukraine, where Lorraine was born September 13, 1925. She was very proud of her Ukrainian heritage. She moved to Rochester where she met and married her husband and put down roots in Greece, NY, where she raised her family. She had a green thumb; planting her rock garden each year was her passion.

She is predeceased by her husband Burdette, son Kevin, her three siblings Paul Kowal, Jean Lovell, and William Kowal.
She is survived by her children Burt, Brian, Karen, Craig (Caroline), Curtis, Christal Liebenthal, Keith (Christine), Glenn (Katie Kovar), nineteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was very involved in and nurturing to her extended family. She loved them all and will be missed dearly.
Donations can be made to her favorite charity, the American Diabetes Association.

Calling hours will be held 4-7 PM Monday, August 2nd at at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road. Lorraine's Funeral Mass will take place 10 AM Tuesday, August 3rd at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
