Mark Kicherer

Fairport - Passed away January 6, 2023 at age 63. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Eugenia Kicherer and son Duyrk Kicherer. Survived by his children Duane Gosley, Ryan (Cari) Cubiotti, Joseph (Ashlee Bush) Gosley, Amanda (Robert) Best, and Lauren Kicherer; grandchildren Domanick, Donnivin, Jaeden, Lucas, Liam, Izaac, Nicolas, and Grayce; significant other Kathy Flaherty; brothers Donald (Kim) Kicherer and Greg Kicherer.

Mark was a beloved son, partner, father, and friend to many. He was selfless, he lived and loved with his whole heart. He devoted his life to family and friends, always working hard to provide and support the people he loved, and when called upon, those he didn’t even know.

He understood the gravity and importance of being a father and the tremendous responsibility it took to raise a large family. His legacy is the role model and man he was to his children. He instilled a hard work ethic, helping others no matter the personal sacrifice, keeping your heart on your sleeve, and loving with everything you have. In the good times and bad he never forgot to stop and find the humor in life. What many will remember the most was his laugh, his ability to make others laugh, and his larger-than-life personality that filled every room. If you knew Mark, you knew love.

Mark was a mechanic, plumber, electrician, construction worker, and painter – he could fix anything (and we mean anything) with duct tape and a Budweiser in hand. He was a lifelong Cleveland Browns, New York Yankees, and NASCAR fan. He loved all animals, movies, Star Trek, music, and dancing. His impersonation of Elvis, his favorite singer, was Vegas-worthy.

Calling hours will be held 4-6 PM Friday, January 13 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services concluding with a memorial service at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Honor Flight Rochester, Inc. PO Box 23581 Rochester, NY 14692.
