Mary P. Stanley

Mary (Talbot) Stanley passed away peacefully on June 23, 2021, surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. Mary is survived by her devoted husband Charles (Chuck) of 56 years, daughters Kera Neylan (Jeff), Janice Putrino (Donald) and son Scott (Amy), brother Paul Talbot (Shirley), sister Theresa O’Connell (Bruce) of New Jersey and predeceased by her brother Howard (Eunja); her beloved grandchildren Emma and Grace (Matt Mattia) Neylan, Sophia and Sam Putrino, Sydney, Hailey, Ashleigh and Austin Stanley and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.



After raising her family, Mary earned a Masters in Religious Studies and touched many lives with her religious education programs. She served at St. Ann’s Parish in Syracuse as the Director of Faith Formation, the Western Region Director of Religious Education for the Syracuse Dioceses and the Pastoral Associate at St. Mary’s of the Lake in Skaneateles.



The family will receive friends at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road, Rochester, New York on Sunday, June 27th from 2pm - 5pm. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 28th at Sacred Heart Cathedral at 10:30am, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester, New York.



In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations in Mary’s memory to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Avenue, Rochester, New York 14626.
