Melissa A. Hale (Swiss Miss)

Melissa A. Hale, passed away on March 12th, 2025 at the age of 62. Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on February 2, 1963, she was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Melissa is survived by her daughter, Dana Hale; and her two eldest brothers, Jon and Jeff Hale; as well as many other family members on both the Hale and DeNucci sides.

Melissa’s life was dedicated to helping others. A skilled and devoted nurse for over 30 years, she provided care, comfort, and support to countless individuals. In her personal life, Melissa found joy in the simple things. She had a green thumb, nurturing her garden with care, and especially loved tending to her cats and raising monarch butterflies in the summertime. She had an infectious energy that brightened every room, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Melissa’s memory by spending time to identify and preserve milkweed in your local area. This simple act will help the monarch butterfly population that she loved so dearly.
