Burke, Michael F. "Mike"
Pultneyville: April 2, 2017, 78 years old. Predeceased by his siblings, John (Fr. Bob), Mary Jean (Robert) Rowan, Maureen, PJ, Peter, Paula Reynolds, Dennis and grandson, Peter Michael Burke. Survived by his sons and their wives, Jim (Jackie); Mike (Marti) and their mother, Martha Brooks; grandchildren, Ryan, Emma and Mary; sister, Sharon (Paul) Miller; sister-in-law, Joyce Burke; brother-in-law, David Reynolds; 21 nieces and nephews; and longtime companion Judie VerPlank.
Mike earned a Bachelor's Degree from Gannon University and served in the United States Army. He worked at Delco Products as a Plant Engineer for 30 years. In retirement Mike enjoyed hiking, skiing all over the world and at Bristol Mountain. He played softball up until age 77 and loved to catch bass at Belmont Lake in Canada. He also was an avid collector of antique fishing tackle.
The family is forever appreciative of the staff of Ranier Grove at Cherry Ridge and the Edna Tina Wilson Living Center for their care and kindness.
Friends may call Thursday April 27th, 4-8 at the funeral home 777 Long Pond Rd. (between English and Latta). Funeral Mass 11:00 Friday, April 28th at St. John the Evangelist Church (W. Ridge Rd.).
