Greece: Formerly of Syracuse. February 6, 2015. Predeceased by her husband, Wasyl and daughter, Stephanie Maslak. She is survived by her son, Michael (Patricia) Guzylak of Rochester; son-in-law, Michael Maslak of Syracuse; grandson, Gregory (Kari) Maslak of Buffalo; her granddaughter, Tanya (Evan Payne) Maslak of MD; 3 great-grandchildren, Simon, Kayla and Owen Maslak of Buffalo; brother-in-law, Andrij (Ksenia) Guzelak and sister-in-law, Paraska Diachenko of Syracuse; along with several nieces and nephews; and 2 very special friends, Angela Bobetsky and Mary Kohut of Syracuse. She was born in the Ukraine and immigrated to the United States in 1949 and lived in Syracuse until recently moving to Rochester. She retired from Niagara Mohawk Power Corp., where she worked for 33 years. She was a longtime communicant of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Syracuse.
The Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11:00 at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Church, 207 Tompkins St., Syracuse. Interment at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center, 2652 Ridgeway Ave., Roch., 14626.
