Noel L. Anderson

On Tuesday, July 6th, Noel Anderson, passed away at Rochester Regional Health after battling multiple health issues.



Noel, the youngest of 4 brothers, was born on December 25, 1944 in Rochester, New York, to Kenneth and Ardith Anderson. He graduated from West High School, raised his family, and built his life in the Rochester area. In 1983, he married Nancy (Burton) Anderson, and they continued to reside in Greece. He loved to spend time with his wife and their families.



Noel worked at Kodak as a technician for 28 years then took an early retirement. He then operated a limousine company along with driving for Aquinas Institute and Trailways. He loved telling stories about his journeys and spoke fondly of many of his experiences during this time in his life.



Noel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He had a heart of gold and lived life to the fullest. One of his favorite places to be was on the golf course with Nancy and their friends. He enjoyed traveling which always included golf. His second passion was football. He was a devoted Bills fan and stayed a devoted fan through thick and thin. During his time at Kodak he played softball and was an avid bowler as was his whole family. There wasn’t a sport he didn’t enjoy playing or watching. He was someone you wanted on your trivial pursuit team, and seemed to know everything regardless of the topic (just don’t ask him to play pictionary). Above all else, Noel was known for his hearty laugh, wonderful sense of humor, and positive outlook on life, no matter what cards were handed to him. He will be sadly missed by all those whose paths he crossed. To know him was to love him.



Noel was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Ardith Anderson. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Nancy (Burton) Anderson of Greece NY; his daughters Kristen Anderson of Salem OR, Karen (Jon) Shroyer of Deerpark WA, Wendy Weeks of Greece NY and Son Dave Carr of Boston MA, grandchildren Delaney, Alexis, Mackenzie, Zaak, Tristan, Brendan, Shayna and Nick. and great grandson Damian. Three brothers and their spouses, Dave and Ruth Anderson of Greece, Norm and Kathy Anderson of Greece, Bruce and Jean Anderson of Fairport; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.



A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 17th at Aldersgate United Methodist Church at 4115 Dewey Avenue in Greece at 10 am to celebrate Noel’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital or The Humane Society of Rochester.
