Greece: June 7, 2015, age 73. Pre-deceased by her Father Robert B. Weldon, mother Mary E. Connair, Sister Mary DuBose, brothers Bob, Joe, John, Frank & Jim. Survived by her husband of 47 years Fred J. Amato, daughter Karen (Scotty) Amato-Williams, sons Michael and Stephen (Debbie Brown). Four grandchildren; Casey, Dyllan, Carter and Cameron who she adored. Also, survived by her sister Kathleen Connor, Cousin Kay Mangione and many nieces and nephews.



Patricia and Fred were married in 1967 at Blessed Sacrament church. They have been active parishioners of St. Anthony of Padua, St. John the Evangelist in Greece, Our Lady of Mercy and currently Holy Cross Parish serving on several church ministries.



Patricia was a longtime supporter of the Rochester pro-life community. She was involved with the Rochester Area Right to Life Committee and served as Director of the Women's Care Center in Charlotte. She was a founding member and past President of the Democrats for Life of New York and lobbied for legislation protecting the rights of the unborn.



Patricia was actively involved in causes regarding poverty and mental health concerns. She was a charter member of Project Rachel through the Diocese of Rochester, a longtime member of the Monroe County Democratic Committee, and served on the staff of Congressman John J. LaFalce. She partnered with her husband, former County Legislator Fred Amato, to advance these social matters.



While retired, her love for the community led to volunteering in several organizations, including the Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse and the Charlotte Community Association. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Ontario Beach Park. Patricia also loved watching her grandchildren participate in sporting and musical events.



Friends may call 4-8PM Thursday at the Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road (between English and Latta Rd.). Funeral Mass 10AM Friday at Holy Cross Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Rochester Area Right to Life Education Fund or Holy Cross Catholic School.
