Rita P. Stein

Rita P Stein, Age 99 of Greece, NY, peacefully passed away on March 14, 2024, just 3 months before her 100th birthday.

Rita is survived by her devoted husband of 74 years, Sylvester, children Barbara Gloss (Michael), Ronald Stein, Donald Stein (Bernadette Duffy) and Katherine Tiller (Gregory), Grandchildren JoAnne Brookes, David Jenkins, Laura Loscalzo, Michael Stein, Jesse Stein, Kimberly Stein, Kyle Tiller, Eric Tiller, Alex Tiller, Jarad Hampton and Amber Garrett, and Great Grandchildren Vanessa, Jackson, Anthony, Salvador, Olivia, Carson, Olivia and Madelyn, many nieces and nephews.

Rita is predeceased by her parents George and Margaret Prince, and sisters Doris Ward, Cecilia Mascara and Christina Angie.

Rita was born in Rochester, NY on June 10, 1924. She graduated from John Marshall High School. Following high school, she worked at Eastman Kodak Company for 9 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, where she worked in the school office and was a member of the Rosary Society,

Besides her family, Rita enjoyed weekly lunches with her sisters, years of square dancing, and game nights with friends.

Calling Hours will be at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Rd. Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Greece, 2400 W Ridge Rd, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rita’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or St. John the Evangelist Church in Greece, NY.
