Robert D. Keenehan

June 4, 1931 – February 11, 2024

Passed away peacefully at age 92 on February 11, 2024. He is predeceased by his parents, Irish immigrants, James and Katherine Keenehan, brother James (Mary) Keenehan and sister Margaret Kress. Survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Marguerite Brady Keenehan; children, Michael (Allison) Keenehan, Brian (Vicky) Keenehan, Robert (Lisa) Keenehan, Maura (Frank) Meleca, James (Kelly) Keenehan; grandchildren, Kelly (Joseph) Taran, Patrick (Jordan) Keenehan, Katelin Keenehan, Mark (Kelly) Keenehan, Alicia Keenehan, Michael Keenehan, Nicolas Meleca and Michaela Meleca; great grandchildren, Teagan and Rory Taran, Carson and Emma Keenehan.

Robert (Bob) attended Holy Cross Grammar School in Charlotte. He graduated from Aquinas Institute in 1948 and earned a B.S. in Finance from Syracuse University in 1954. He served in the United States Air Force as a Captain and Finance Officer from 1954 – 1956. He met his wife, Marguerite, on a blind date while he was stationed in Long Island. They were married in 1956. Bob was a Branch Manager at First Federal Savings Bank. Bob went into sales with Sun Oil Company and later started his own manufacturer's rep business in 1967. His business was incorporated with his son, Michael and wife Marguerite, and later joined by son, James. Bob loved his family and was a devoted sports fan to the Cleveland Browns, Boston Celtics, and Boston Red Sox. He had an incredible mind, memory, and sense of humor. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, passionate conversations, jokes, and laughter.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7pm on Monday, February 19th at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home (777 Long Pond Road in Greece). A funeral mass for family and friends will be held at 10am on Tuesday, February 20th at St. John the Evangelist Church (2400 W. Ridge Road in Greece) celebrating his life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Robert D. Keenehan at St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
