Robert P. Brugger

Passed away October 8, 2023 at age 95. He is predeceased by his wife Mary; parents John & Theresa Brugger; sister Gerry (Larry) Frank; and sister-in-law Jean Brugger. Survived by his children, Sandy Brugger, Cindy (Paul) Haslip, Sharon Brugger, and Robert (Astrid) Brugger; grandchildren Daniel, Mark, and Sonia; brother Donald; several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

Bob was a founding member of the Sandbaggers Euchre League and a supporting member of the Schuhplattler Verein Heidengold Folk Dance Group.

He graduated from Ben Franklin High School, served in the Army during the Korean War and left at the rank of Sergeant. When he returned home, he met and married his sweetheart, Mary. He was employed by Kodak's Distribution Division for 41 years, retiring in 1986.

He was always up for some fun! When any dancing was involved, Bob would be the first and the last person on the floor. This was passed on to his kids. One of his favorite fun things was dressing up as many characters over the years for the annual German Mardi Gras.

Known for his love of Euchre, but would play Poker and any other card game as much as possible! Bowling and golf were also favorite pastimes, watching or playing. He was an avid Yankees and Buffalo Bills fan as well. But most of all he was a fan of his family and friends! He loved them all and would be there when needed. A great friend, an awesome Dad and a very proud Grandpa. His love, laughter and smile will be missed by many!

Calling hours will be held 4-7 PM Thursday, October 19th at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services, 777 Long Pond Rd. Funeral service 11 AM Friday, October 20th at Farrell-Ryan. Interment Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester 1048 University Ave Rochester, NY 14607.
