Bob was a devoted and loving husband, father, and Boppy. He was an extremely hard worker who loved sharing his ideas about progress and possibilities. Bob attended Hartwick College and graduated from Simmons School of Mortuary Science. Bob was a member of the New York State Funeral Director Association for many years and Rochester Genesee Valley Funeral Directors Association. Bob was a funeral director for many years after moving up to Rochester, NY to be near his daughters, and family. His last position held was a funeral director, and manager, of the Murphy Funeral & Cremation Ontario, NY Chapel where his daughter Melissa is a funeral director. He was also past President of Narrowsburg Fire Department and member of Tusten Lions Club. He was a faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Narrowsburg, NY and Redeemer Lutheran Church, Rochester, NY. Bob was the Chair of the property committee. He became one of the rebuilding supervisors following the church's fire, served as church Treasurer, and founded Redeemer's Thrift Shop, which led him to start their yearly neighborhood garage sale. He also volunteered for many years at St. Mark's and St. John's Episcopal Church's Food Shelf helping unload the Foodlink truck and working on their EDEN Community Gardens.
