It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dr. Robert “Bob” Russo, a beloved husband, father, papa, and friend, who left this world on April 7, 2025, at the age of 71.
Bob was a devoted family man whose love for his wife, children, and grandchildren was unwavering. He cherished family gatherings, always bringing joy and laughter to every occasion. His greatest pride was his family, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of his wife of 45 years Barbara Russo; his children, Teresa Gardner, Robert Russo, and Nicholas (Nicole) Russo, and his cherished grandchildren Vincenzo, Luciana, and Dominic Russo, as well as his sister, Lisa (Ben) Pennetta, and nieces Andrea Pennetta, Deanna (Cris) Kulikowski, and Marisa (Sal) Armeli, and several great nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.
As a podiatrist, Bob dedicated several decades to helping others. His gentle, caring approach to his patients, combined with his immense expertise, made him a trusted figure in his community. Many knew him not just as a doctor, but as a compassionate and understanding listener who took the time to ensure each patient felt valued and cared for. He treated each individual with kindness and respect, and his impact on the lives of so many will never be forgotten.
Outside of his professional life, Bob was an avid golfer and an accomplished musician. His love for golf took him to courses near and far. He loved the challenge of the game and the camaraderie it brought, and his passion was infectious.
As a musician, Bob played several instruments and was a talented singer, songwriter and pianist. His music brought warmth and connection to those around him, whether he was playing in his home for his family or at community events. Music was an important part of his life, and it was a gift he shared freely with others, leaving behind a legacy of melodies that will be remembered fondly.
Bob’s passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him. He was a man of integrity, warmth, and generosity, whose kindness and humor brightened every room. His legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to cross his path.
