Robert F. Schenkel

Passed away July 21, 2024 at age 87. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mildred; daughters Kristen (Roger) Klatt and Karen (Michael) Vanechanos; son Robert; grandchildren Emily (Ade), Madeline, Kelsey (Brent), Madison, Avery, Robert, and Danielle; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Roger (Suzanne), Frank (Sara), Richard (Margaret), Jack (Yvonne), Donald (Laurie), and Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a 1955 graduate of Aquinas Institute and a 1959 graduate of General Motors Institute.  He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and remained active in scouting for many years.  He loved hunting, sailing, and was an avid fan of the Amerks & Red Wings.

Calling hours will be held 4-7PM Thursday, July 25 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral mass 10AM Friday, July 26 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Greece. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. John the Evangelist Church.
