Rochester: Sunday, April 10, 2016 at age 80. Predeceased by parents, Karl and Dorothy Bacon; brothers, Donald Bacon, Raymond Bacon; sister, Barbara Johnson; brothers-in-law, Alex Coppola, Sam Coppola, William Stacy and William Johnson. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jean Bacon; daughter, Lisa (Bacon) Horak; son-in-law, Douglas Horak; and grandchildren, Nicholas and Alexander Horak; brothers-in-law, David Coppola, Tony Coppola, Phil Giardina; sisters-in-law, Vera Bacon, Marie Coppola, Mary Ann Coppola, Sarah Coppola, Diane Giardina, Patricia Stacy; many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was in law enforcement for many years. Roger served for 20 years as a Police Officer with the Rochester New York Police Dept., retiring, then serving in a security role at Rochester Institute of Technology for 15 years. Roger served his country in the United States Army.

Friends may call Thursday 4-7 at the funeral home, 777 Long Pond Road (between English & Latta). Funeral Mass, 10 AM Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Always an advocate of animals, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester.
