Rose Mary Mantelli

Rose Mary Mantelli passed away peacefully on June 2, 2022 after a very courageous battle with ALS. Although she was unable to speak, she would use her beautiful penmanship to communicate with us and to make sure we knew she wanted things done her way! With all of her recent life changes, Rosie kept her amazing sense of humor and kept us laughing! Her strength, perseverance, dignity and grace has given us all an unmeasurable sense of pride and admiration

Rosemary was predeceased by her parents Frank and Katie Mantelli, her sister Catherine “Kay”, her brothers Tony and Chuck and her nephew Steven. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Mary Lou, Molly, Mark, Elaine, Mari, and Billy and several great nieces and nephews.

Rosie was an extremely devoted lifetime parishioner of Holy Cross Church. She enjoyed daily mass, saying the rosary, volunteering at many parish events, spending time with her nieces, nephews, and her numerous wonderful friends, her Holy Cross family and her dog Sparky.

She loved feeding her birds each day and watching them in her many backyard feeders. She was beyond generous with her patience, kindness, time, and her wonderful sense of humor.

During this challenging journey, Rosie has been gifted with many fabulous caretakers from Rochester Regional Health, who have made our days more pleasant and we are forever grateful! Yet all of them have told us how much they enjoyed being around her as her faith, goodness, and kindness was shared with them. Rosie has inspired so many others to strengthen their faith, say the rosary, and believe that “God is Good!”

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Holy Cross Church and or Rochester Regional Health/Hildebrandt Hospice.

No prior calling. Her funeral mass will be Wednesday June 22nd at 10:30 AM at Holy Cross Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
