Ryan D. Steinmetz

Passed away November 7, 2023 suddenly at his home in Sodus, New York at age 49.

Ryan was born in Rochester, NY to Margo Steinmetz (McAvaney) and Rudolf Steinmetz on 1-14-1974. He went to school at Marion High School and joined the Marine Corps. 

He is survived by his mother and stepfather Margo and Bill McAvaney of Marion, NY. Children Matthew Steinmetz (Olivia), Patrick (Elisabetta), and Nicholas Steinmetz. Siblings: Rick (Lisa) Steinmetz, Rob (Kari) Steinmetz. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Ryan is pre-deceased in death by his father Rudolf Steinmetz

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Sodus Fire department, Wallington Fire department, NY state troopers, Sodus Police Department and all EMTs for their professionalism. Thank you to all family members who contributed during our time of need.

Calling hours will be held 11-1 PM Saturday, November 18 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services, concluding with a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Please dress casually.
