Sharon "Shari" Ryan, 78, passed away on December 21, 2021 being set free from the disease that has stolen away her beautiful personality.
Shari was born in Rochester, NY on July 30, 1943 to the late W. Arthur Strogen and Ethel N. Strogen (Dirks). She graduated from Charlotte High School and five years later married the love of her life, William “Bill” Ryan on January 29, 1966. Shari and Bill had 2 children, Kelly and Sean Ryan. Shari is survived by her husband Bill; children Kelly & Sean; grandson David (Kayla) Miller; great-grandson Jack Miller.
Shari had a successful career as a project manager at Eastman Kodak Company and she and Bill were very active in volunteering at Holy Cross Church running the youth group, RCIA, and Festival Tickets. After retirement from Eastman Kodak, Shari and Bill relocated to Largo, FL for close to 20 years where she was able to continue her love of craft. She was able to share that love by teaching others as an event coordinator at Michael’s. Shari will be missed by all who have been fortunate enough to have known her, if even for a short period of time.
Calling hours will be held 4-7pm Monday, December 27 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road. Funeral Mass Tuesday, December 28 10:30am at Holy Cross Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
