Thomas A. Trost

Thomas Allen Trost, age 64 of Walworth/Palmyra

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Thomas on January 5th, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. His faith and love for God kept him strong throughout this journey.

Tom was born to Glenn J. and Barbara Ann Trost on September 11, 1959 in Rochester, NY.

The family moved from Rochester to Marion, NY where Tom attended and graduated from Marion Central High School.

Tom was an avid landscaper. He loved working outside in his yard and gardens. Tom also enjoyed doing projects inside the home as well, including painting pictures. Hunting with family and friends was another passion of Toms. Above all, Tom's biggest joy in life was his family. He loved being a husband, big brother, a father, grandfather and friend. His love for them surpassed everything else. He wouldn't hesitate to help anyone in need at any time.

Tom is predeceased by his parents Glenn and Barbara Ann Trost of Lake Wales, Florida

(formerly of Marion, NY); daughter Christina Hammond of Clifton Springs, NY.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Bunny Trost; son Todd Tyson of Walworth, NY; 4 siblings Patricia (Raymond) Hunter, Sharon (Tony) Gallagher of Lake Wales, Florida; Donald (Jennifer) Trost of Prattsburg, NY and Catherine (Ryan) Tolbert of Barney, Georgia.

Grandchildren Hailey and Jackson Tyson, Paige O'Connor, Colby Barlow and Donald Briggs IV.

Several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Tom will be so greatly missed by family and anyone who knew him.

At this time no plans have been scheduled for a memorial. A celebration of life will be planned for later in the spring/summer. All of the love and support our family has received is so greatly appreciated. Our most sincere "Thank you" to the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center during Tom's final days for such excellent care and to the Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home for heartfelt support and compassion.
