Born May 17, 1946 in Hornell NY to Anna and Raymond Curry who predeceased him and sister Mary Ellen Curry who also predeceased him.
Survived by his wife and best friend Mary Ann (Schwartz) Curry; Son David T. Curry; the love of his life his Granddaughter Savannah Marie Curry and her mother Kimberly; sisters-in-law and many cousins.
He was a 1966 graduate of American Academy McAlister Institute in Manhattan New York and a life member of Chapter 20 Vietnam Veterans of America. Tom served with the Army Corp of Engineers for eight months prior to discharge he was assigned to 115th military intelligence group at the Presidio of San Francisco.
After coming home from the services he went to work for Charles L. Younglove. In 1989, Tom went to work at Penfield School District as Head Custodian at Harris Hill Elementary School.
When he retired from the Penfield School district in 2006 he traveled to Tahiti and then to the Mediterranean including Rome. Trips to Ireland and the Caribbean were also on his bucket list. He always considered himself to have a good life and wanted to give back. He supported food banks and the Salvation Army Kettle Campaign. He spent thousands of hours (14 Years) at Highland Hospital as a volunteer Ambassador until his health made it impossible to continue. Tom loved his newspaper everyday and was awarded the Golden Pen for one of his editorials. He also loved Railroads whether riding them or visiting Railroad museums.
Friends may call 1-4pm Monday January 15, 2024 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services 777 Long Pond Road. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Food Link.
