After a long and arduous battle with Colon Cancer. Survived by her husband Clyde, daughter Larisa (Scott) Romanowski, grandchildren Elijah and Elena Romanowski, and sister Emelia (Walter) Puchliakov. Arriving in America in the early 1950's with her parents as Displaced Persons from WWII, she attained Bachelors and Masters degrees at the University of Rochester, where she met her husband. She was a Special Ed Teacher at BOCES #1 and later an Early Childhood Education Diagnostician for the U of R Early Screening program, then prior to retirement a Student Teacher Supervisor for Nazareth and St John Fisher colleges. She was a member of her church's Building Committee, and its Choir, and a regular reader of the Hours prior to Sunday Liturgy.
In lieu of flowers the family requests Memorial Contributions to Protection of the Mother of God Russian Orthodox Church, 100 Stanford Dr, Rochester, NY 14610.
Panykhida will be held 6:30 PM Tuesday, April 1 at the church. The Funeral Service will be held at the church 9 AM Wednesday April 2. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Monastery Cemetery in Jordanville, NY.
