Burns, William J.

Greece: Passed away peacefully on October 8, 2016 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by his parents Edna & John Burns, loving wife Bernice and sister & brother-in-law Barbara & Paul Tennity. He is survived by his children, Terry (Cheryl), Tracy (Richard) Farnand, Kim (Jim) Gagie, Bill (Dawn), Amy (Scott) King; his grandchildren, Alex, Brianna, Brady, Grant, Jon, Adam, Samantha; great-grandchildren, Mackenzey, Zaila, Jackson, Madison and many nieces and nephews. After graduating from Aquinas High School, Bill joined the Air Force where he met the love of his life, Bernice Ebert. They returned to Rochester and were happily married 47 years until she passed away in 2001. Bill was employed at Eastman Kodak for 39 years before enjoying a very happy retirement. A special thanks to the Hildebrandt staff for their loving care.

Friends may call Thursday 4-8 at the funeral home, 777 Long Pond Road (between English & Latta). Funeral Mass, 9:30 Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center.
