William Stresz was a caring and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He left this world suddenly December 6th 2024 at the age of 91 after a brief illness at home. He was born to Olga and Kiryl Stresz on February 21, 1933. Predeceased by mother Olga, father Kiryl, sister Maria Troicki, beloved spouse Catherine who he was married to for 35 years. Survived by children Anthony, John, Maria (Frank) Opett. Beloved grandfather to Christina (Adam) Soistman, Victoria Opett, Nicholas Opett, Annika Stresz; great grandfather to Asher William Soistman; special friend Klavdia who we are so grateful for all of your support throughout the years; nieces, nephews, many cousins and dear friends.
William Served in the U.S Army during the Korean War 1952-1955. He received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1962 from Trine University where he then worked at Delco Products from 1963-1991 where he was a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. He loved going to church on Sundays, his church family, traveling and Sunday dinners.
Friends may attend Panachida 6pm Sunday December 8th at the Protection of the Mother of God Russian Orthodox Church. Funeral Service Monday 10am at the church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
