Judith Lonobile

Obituary of Judith E. Lonobile

Judith E. Lonobile passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, August 24, 2019.

Judy was born in Rochester and was the youngest of the five Williams sisters born to Lawrence and Mildred Williams.

She lived in Alliance Ohio during her younger years where her Dad ran the Alliance hardware store. She had fond memories of playing in the toy section on the 4th floor, especially racing the bicycles and toy vehicles.  After five years they moved back to Rochester to a house on Locust Street that Judy adored.

Music was a lifelong passion.  Early music lessons and endless family singing and musical talents carried Judy throughout her life.

Judy always enjoyed socializing and helping friends and dear family members.  After working at Lincoln First Bank and Central Bank, she married Mike Lonobile.  She was a young mother to three children:  Lisa, Michael and Leonard.  Life was busy with school functions, music lessons, scouts, sports and many family gatherings.  Judy also worked for Delco Products for many years.

As her family grew, Judy and Mike attend their grandchildren’s concerts, recitals, games, parades, plays, and award ceremonies.

Judy continued to care for friends and family members.  She loved to drive her many cars over the years.  She was a free spirit who loved the lake, flying, dance, drum corps, coffee, the newspaper and she especially loved the Rochester Jazz Festival and Jazz 90.1 WGMC FM.

Judith was pre-deceased by her parents, Lawrence and Mildred Williams, her husband Mike and their son Michael, sisters (and brothers-in-law), Jane (Jack Poray), Martha (Frank “Bart” Cuomo) and Joanne Zimmer.

She is survived by daughter, Lisa (Don) Wilcox, son Len (Kimberly) Lonobile, daughter-in-law, Kim Lonobile, grandchildren, Emily Wilcox, Dan (Bianca) Wilcox, April Wilcox, Chris (Cheyenne) Lonobile, Ben Lonobile, Chad (Jackie Lawn) Lonobile, Rachel Lonobile, and great-grandson Gavin Lonobile.

Also survived by sister, Mary (Gene) Smith, brother-in-law, Ralph Zimmer and sister-in-law, Shirley Lonobile, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Our deepest thanks to the staff at Crimson Ridge Memory Gardens for the love and care they gave to Judy.
